Volley for the Cure

During the fall of 2009, over 800 Ohio High School Girl's Volleyball Teams participated in “Volley for the Cure” to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Each team had custom pink t-shirts and organized fundraising events around their game.

VOLLEY FOR THE CURE was created as a way to honor and celebrate the heroic fights against breast cancer. This event was dedicated to all men and women who have been touched by breast cancer with the hope that this devastating disease will one day be cured.

Become a Community Fundraising Partner!

Get together with friends and family to have a fun time while helping others.

Community Fundraising Partner events are activities, events or promotions that are conducted by compassionate individuals like you to raise donations for Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.  The events are planned, organized and run entirely by you, your friends and family, and other volunteers you’ve recruited. Komen can provide their logo, breast cancer educational material, and post a link to your event’s webpage on the affiliate’s website, but the remainder of the event is up to you and your creativity. 

Have a sports tournament or a cook out and invite others to give donations to participate in the fun. Bake sales and promotional events are other great ways to get people involved. You can also give out educational material provided by Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to help spread awareness about breast cancer.
