Susan G. Komen®, the world’s largest breast cancer organization, has invested more than $750 million in research programs since 1982, making Komen the largest non-profit funder of breast cancer research in the world. Komen National currently manages over 500 active research grants totaling over $250 million. Susan G. Komen® Northeast Ohio funds local breast health education, screening, treatment, and support programs. Up to 75% of the net proceeds raised through the Komen Northeast Ohio Race for the Cure series and other fundraising efforts stays in Northeast Ohio to fund local organizations that provide breast health programs and services for the most vulnerable populations in our service area. The remaining 25% of the net proceeds goes to support Komen National’s Research and Scientific Awards Program.
Any not-for-profit organization that provides breast health and/or breast cancer education, screening, or treatment services within the 22 county service area of the Komen Northeast Ohio may apply for a grant.
