Request for Applications
The 2015-2016 Request for Application is now closed. The 2016-2017 Request for Application will be available August 3, 2015.
Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio uses an electronic grant submission process. To access the electronic grant application and apply for a Community Grant, please visit Komen’s Grants eManagement System (GeMS) at http://affiliategrants.komen.org.
Komen Northeast Ohio has created a GeMS Applicant User Manual to assist in the application process. For technical assistance, contact Gina Chicotel at firstname.lastname@example.org or (216) 292-2873 x 112. Please allow adequate time (up to five (5) business days) before the application deadline for a response.
Affiliate Funding Priorities
Komen Northeast Ohio will only consider funding programs that definitively respond to the Affiliate priorities as outlined in the 2011 Community Profile.
RFA Training Opportunities
Komen Northeast Ohio offers a series of grant trainings throughout the months of August and September. Please check back on August 3, 2015 for more information on the training schedule for the 2016-17 RFA.
Komen staff will also be available by appointment during the months of September and October to address any unique concerns and/or issues an applicant may have during the application process. Please contact Gina Chicotel at email@example.com to schedule a convenient time to meet.
Grant Application Pre-View
An optional grant application pre-review period will be available to all applicants in the month of October. Applicants who wish to participate in the optional pre-review process will be required to submit a portion of their application to be reviewed by Komen Northeast Ohio staff, grant writing experts, and former Grant Review Committee* members. Segments of the application eligible for pre-review are: Project Summary Information (to include the Project Profile, Project Abstract, and Project Target Demographics); the Project Narrative; the Project Work Plan; and the Project Budget. Feedback and comments from pre-reviewers will be summarized in a written document and returned to participating applicants via email.
Applicants who wish to participate in the pre-review process must submit eligible sections of the application electronically to Gina Chicotel at firstname.lastname@example.org. If the applicant has further questions related to the pre-review feedback, in-person appointments and/or conference calls can be scheduled on an as-needed basis.
Coaching (including consultation prior to, during, or following the grant technical assistance) is independent of the grant review process. Feedback does not predict final funding decision nor does it guarantee funding.
