Susan G. Komen®, the world’s largest breast cancer organization, has invested more than $988 million in research programs since 1982, making Komen the largest non-profit funder of breast cancer research in the world. Komen National currently manages over 500 active research grants totaling over $250 million. The Research, Evaluation, and Scientific Program supports a broad range of research programs from basic biology to treatment to survivorship. Susan G. Komen® Northeast Ohio funds local breast health outreach, screening/diagnostic, navigation, and patient/survivor support programs. Up to 75% of the net proceeds raised through the Komen Northeast Ohio More Than PINK Walk series and other fundraising efforts stays in Northeast Ohio to fund local organizations that provide breast health programs and services for the most vulnerable populations in our service area. The remaining 25% of the net proceeds goes to support Komen National’s Research, Evaluation and Scientific Program.
Select not-for-profit organizations that provide comprehensive breast health and/or breast cancer outreach, screening, and navigation services within the highest need communities of the Komen Northeast Ohio may apply for direct services funding.
