World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational Funds Technology Grant for Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio

The World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, and its partner, Northern Ohio Golf Charities, have named Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio as a recipient of 2014 tournament funds. The Bridgestone Invitational has given $13,020 to Komen Northeast Ohio to be used to enhance community outreach efforts in 2015. The money donated by the tournament will be used for technology system and device upgrades.

“With the generous partnership and support of Northern Ohio Golf Charities, Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio will be able to implement desperately needed upgrades to our information technology infrastructure. These systems upgrades will allow our organization to work more efficiently in the mobile world we now find ourselves in. With the help of Northern Ohio Golf Charities, we are able to keep pace with our supporters, donors and constituents,” said Sean Shacklett, Executive Director of Komen Northeast Ohio. “We are very grateful for our continued partnership with the Bridgestone Invitational and Northern Ohio Golf Charities.”

Every year, the Bridgestone Invitational and Northern Ohio Golf Charities Foundation donate more than $925,000 to Northeast Ohio nonprofits. Throughout the years, more than $24 million in tournament proceeds has been given to worthy causes seeking to improve the quality of life in Northeast Ohio.
